Covenant of Mayors meeting at Steiermark Office Brussels

Participants at the upcoming Covenant workshop in Madrid, 9 February 2010, will have the opportunity to discuss Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAP) with other cities and the Covenant of Mayors Office. Antwerp’s EcoHuis shines a light on sustainable building

The EcoHuis Antwerpen (EcoHouse Antwerp) is a refurbished industrial warehouse, which showcases sustainable building. The building serves as a demonstration centre for citizens and offers energy and environmental advice to its visitors. It also acts as a meeting place, and includes an exhibition centre, eco-garden and eco-café.

“Covenant of Mayors: The Challenge Begins Locally” now available online

Following the European Conference for the Promotion of Local Actions to Combat Climate Change, the Province of Huelva, a Supporting Structure to the Covenant of Mayors, has produced a report entitled “Covenant of Mayors: The Challenge Begins Locally”. The conference, which was held in Punta Umbria (Huelva) from 23-25 September 2009, dedicated an entire session to the Covenant of Mayors with a special focus on the role of Covenant Supporting Structures. The report is available for download, in both English and Spanish, from the documents page of this website.
