STEP 2 : Submission of your Action Plan

As signatory to the Covenant of Mayors, you commit to submitting your Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan within two years following the official decision to join the Covenant of Mayors.

Your SECAP needs to be approved by the local council and uploaded in your national language (or in English) using the online submission system available via My Covenant (password restricted area). You are required, at the same time, to fill in the SECAP template in English. This template allows you to summarise the results of your Baseline Emission Inventory (BEI) and of your Risk and Vulnerability Assessment(RVA) as well as the key elements of your SECAP.

After submission, the consistency of your data will be checked by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC). Once your SECAP template has been reviewed, highlights of the information provided will be published on the Covenant of Mayors website, under your signatory profile. You will then be able to compare your actions and your progress with other signatories.
