Covenant Supporters help showcase signatories’ actions in Durban
During the UN climate talks in Durban (COP17) Covenant Supporters [Climate Alliance->] and [ICLEI Europe->] have supported Covenant of Mayors cities in demonstrating their ability to find local solutions to the global challenge of climate change.

During an event organised by the Climate Action Directorate-General of the European Commission, Climate Alliance gave a presentation of the actions and initiatives taken by local authorities in the framework of the Covenant of Mayors. The messages delivered by signatories in the hemicycle of the European Parliament on the occasion of the third Covenant of Mayors Ceremony were also presented on this occasion.

Twenty Covenant Signatories showcased tangible results of their actions through the Annual Outcomes Report of the Mexico City Pact and the carbonn Cities Climate Registry (cCCR) 2011 Annual Report, two initiatives launched with the support of ICLEI Europe. In the Mexico City Pact Report more than 50 cities document their advances in battling climate change. The cCCR 2011 Report presents 51 cities from 19 countries that have reported to the carbonn Cities Climate Registry.
