Covenant of Mayors' Quick Reference Guide on Financing Opportunities: New version available!
The 'Quick Reference Guide on Financing Opportunities for Local Climate and Energy Actions' provides an updated overview of the different financing programs which can support the implementation of cities' Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans.

At a glance, one can get an overview of potential financing solutions, from grant-based programs such as Horizon2020 to financial instruments to locally deploy Structural and Investment Funds and technical assistance to enable the preparation work of investment projects.

As in the previous version, the guide aims to increase the understanding of local authorities on financing possibilities accessible to and created for them. The document shows new features, such as financing provided by intermediaries, e.g. the European Investment Bank or your local commercial bank. Furthermore, it provides links to new information services and more specific examples.

This document was developed by the Covenant of Mayors Office with the support of the European Commission, EASME and the European Investment Bank.
