Optimizing SEAP feedback: the JRC calls on Covenant Coordinators’ involvement
Covenant coordinating regions, provinces, grouping of local authorities and other eligible bodies supporting multiple municipalities in the development of their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) are invited to liaise with the Joint Research Centre (JRC) to benefit from the aggregated SEAP feedback approach. Introduced in 2012, this method allows the JRC to rely to a greater extent on the contribution of Covenant Coordinators.

Indeed, as several provinces and regions are taking over the SEAP development process of their associated municipalities, they have developed specific methodologies upon which to base these municipalities’ action plans. In such cases, instead of evaluating each individual SEAP, the JRC proposes to only analyse the methodology developed by such coordinators, possibly along with a “reference SEAP”. The feedback provided for the said methodology / reference SEAP will automatically apply to all other action plans developed from this basis.
