It defines the activities and measures set up to achieve the targets, together with time frames and assigned responsibilities. Covenant signatories are free to choose the format of their SEAP, as long as it is in line with the general principles set out in the Covenant SEAP guidelines. on their territory, with the aim of cutting CO2 emissions by at least 20% by 2020.

Projet PLAGE

Description: Depuis 2006, la Commune de Molenbeek-Saint-Jean participe activement au projet PLAGE (Plan Local d’Action pour la Gestion Énergétique), un programme d’économie d’énergie lancé par la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale. --> Objectif : diminuer de 25% la consommation globale d’énergie de la centaine de bâtiments communaux (écoles, administration, crèches, bibliothèques, infrastructures sportives...). Cet objectif ambitieux est indispensable si la Commune souhaite relever les défis énergétiques de façon concrète et lutter à son échelle contre les changements climatiques de notre Terre. Il existe une centaine de bâtiments communaux totalisant plus de 100.000 m². Pour mettre en œuvre le PLAGE, la Commune a défini un plan d’action stratégique. Tout d’abord, elle a sélectionné 10 bâtiments prioritaires sur base de leurs faibles performances énergétiques et de leur trop grand appétit en gaz, électricité ou eau. Chacun de ces sites a fait l’objet d’un audit énergétique détaillé. Celui-ci a permis de définir les mesures adéquates pour améliorer la situation. De plus, pour détecter rapidement tout dysfonctionnement des installations, la Commune assure un suivi mensuel de l’évolution des consommations d’énergie. La maîtrise de celles-ci est primordiale quand on sait que sur la centaine de bâtiments communaux, les dix bâtiments PLAGE représentent 50% des consommations d’énergie.
