Monday 24 June 2013  has been confirmed as the date of the next Covenant of Mayors Signature Ceremony which is to take place in Brussels, in parallel to the  EU Sustainable Energy Week. 

High-profile speakers are yet again expected to attend this 4th edition of the Covenant Ceremony, including Presidents of European Institutions, EU Commissioners, MEPs, city mayors and other high-ranking officials from the EU, national, regional and local administrations.

As the initiative enters its fifth year, the ceremony will be an occasion to take stock of previous achievements and anticipate future developments in the context of the economic crisis and quest for growth and jobs.

The Covenant of Mayors is making history as an unprecedented platform for cooperation, between all actors and across all sectors of society. Local leaders should not miss this opportunity to show that they are contributing to the rise of a new governance model, embodying the idea that “together, we are stronger”.
