More Walking and Cycling Please: Growing Active Mobility Through EU Funds

107, Avenue de Cortenbergh – 1000 Brussels, Belgium
    Organiser: Others

    3rd April 2019 9:30am to 1pm
107, Avenue de Cortenbergh – 1000 Brussels, Belgium

The Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) and the Interreg CHIPS project, kindly invite you to join us for a high-level stakeholder event, discussing the place of Active Mobility in the next Funding Period, 2021 – 2027. The key challenge we will address is: How can we unlock larger and better EU investments in walking and cycling?

In a practitioner session we will hear about best practice examples of high quality cycling projects from West Pomerania, Navarra and Flemish Brabant, projects that have delivered first class infrastructure, with huge benefits to EU citizens. After the main event and lunch, there will be the opportunity to obtain first-hand experience of the showcased Flemish example, by cycling along stretches of the Brussels – Antwerp F1 cycle highway, co-funded by the ERDF fund.
