Covenant of Mayors webinar: How to design effective policies against energy poverty in municipalities

    Organiser: Covenant of Mayors office

Taking place online on the 4th of July, from 15:30 - 17:00

Are you a local authority considering taking action against energy poverty? Or are you a local authority that has already implemented energy poverty measures that you would like to share with other municipalities? Then this webinar is for you!

The European Covenant of Mayors is cooperating with the recently launched EU Energy Poverty Observatory to develop support for municipalities to draft energy poverty policies. This webinar will present a draft guidance for municipalities that can be used to design local energy poverty policies. The guidance takes into account the local circumstances of the municipality such as the local climate, and describes the steps to take towards concrete action. It is based on best practices that were already implemented in municipalities.

After the webinar, five interested municipalities will be selected to implement the guidance using the expertise from the EU Energy Poverty Observatory. The selection of municipalities will be based on geographical diversity, capacity and size.
